"nothing is promised except death"
Graduation day awaits. I'm more stoked for my upcoming overseas trip!!
My May schedule is completely booked. I will be travelling for almost the whole of May. So glad everything is happening soon, I bet in June, I might probably get bored and miss all of this busyness soon.
Day trip w my team marvel soon > Phuket trip w bffs > Grad day > HK Trip > Work again > Birthday Month(so much to plan!!) > Braces face in August!!
I have been delaying my braces again as I figured I didn't want to do it in June because of my birthday month July. I refused to have gaps(extraction) in between + crooked teeth + braces metal on during my birthday month because I think overall it won't look very pleasant at all. So as much as I really want to... what is 3 more months compared to straight teeth next time right??
Here's some flashback anyway!
My part-time holiday buffer job has been pretty good so far. Made a few mistakes here and there but definitely is something new that I'm learning! Sometimes it gets busy but it gonna be worth it for the extra $$$ I'll be getting for my trips! :)
Recently I read an article about full-time jobs and internship. I totally agreed with what the author was saying about unpaid internships and bad full-time choices with not-so-good companies that totally make you a cheap labour for them.
I don't really believe in working for "exposure".
"Oh working with this company gives you exposure and you get connected to higher ups etc etc." / "Work with this company for free and you get more exposure!"
Sorry, "exposure" doesn't pay the bills & while some might lucked out receiving invaluable experience or in other worst cases, receive an in-depth knowledge of a copier machine. If you get an lower pay but don't often get to interact with your employer one-on-one, honestly there isn't much of a learning/hands-on experience there at all.
Higher pay demands higher expectations too. I've had a senior whom I knew had amazing salary $$$$$ in the industry but he isn't happy and is constantly upset with the overwhelming demand. So yes $$$ might seem good but if everything becomes too overwhelming & often get upset w everything, maybe its time to rethink another workplace. SIGH I don't want to be an "adult" yet. Don't want to enter work force yet.
Enough of my thoughts now... getting ready for the super duper long weekend mode!!!
